Grain-free Diets Might Cause Heart Disease in Dogs

Caroline Peese, DVMDr. Caroline Peese, our Co-Chief of Staff, has been working in the veterinary field since 1997, starting as a receptionist/assistant and progressing to a technician.

She enjoyed her work in the field so much that she decided to go back to school to become a veterinarian. Dr. Peese attended the University of Illinois, where she obtained her veterinary degree in 2007.

She has been a member of the Chester Veterinary Clinic family since October 2007. Dr. Peese lives in Haddam with her husband, two children, a dog, and four cats.

Dr. Ellie Wahlberg, DVM, with a dogDr. Ellie Wahlberg was raised in Rhode Island and developed a love of animals early on in her life. She earned an undergraduate degree in 2008 from University of New Hampshire in Animal Science, specializing in Equine Science. She completed her veterinary medical schooling at the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2014.

After graduation, Dr. Wahlberg did an internship with Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital and another with the University of Missouri as an Equine Ambulatory and Hospital intern. After a few years in large animal practice, she decided a change of pace was in order and joined us at Chester Veterinary Clinic.

In her spare time, she enjoys power-lifting, hiking, paddle boarding, and spending time with family and her fur babies Ollie, NIMH, Yasha, and Archie.

Dr. Mark Graves, DVM, with a canine friendDr. Mark Graves has been a long time veterinarian in CT. He founded and owned the Norwich Animal Hospital for many, many years. Dr. Graves retired and sold his practice but couldn't stay away from veterinary medicine. He has become a huge part of Chester Veterinary Clinic and is loved by many.

He currently lives in Norwich with his wife, Karen, and his dog, Bella.
