After moving to Chester, Dr. Ficke found a then struggling Chester Veterinary Clinic, which, with lots of hard work, was developed into the successful veterinarian practice it is today.

Dr. Ficke has become a vital member of the practice and the community. He has also served as a member and past president of the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA). He lives in town with his wife and three sons. When not at the clinic he enjoys boating, water skiing, scuba diving and biking.
