Caroline Peese, DVM — Chief of Staff
Dr. Caroline Peese, our Chief of Staff, has been working in the veterinary field since 1997, starting as a receptionist/assistant and progressing to a technician.
She enjoyed her work in the field so much that she decided to go back to school to become a veterinarian. Dr. Peese attended the University of Illinois, where she obtained her veterinary degree in 2007.
She has been a member of the Chester Veterinary Clinic family since October 2007. Dr. Peese lives in Haddam with her husband, two children, a dog, and four cats.
Mark Graves, DVM
Dr. Mark Graves has been a long time veterinarian in CT. He founded and owned the Norwich Animal Hospital for many, many years. Dr. Graves retired and sold his practice but couldn't stay away from veterinary medicine. He has become a huge part of Chester Veterinary Clinic and is loved by many.
He currently lives in Norwich with his wife, Karen, and his dog, Bella.
Hilary Scher, DVM
Dr. Hilary Scher is the newest members of the Chester Veterinary Clinic doctor team. Dr. Scher grew up in nearby Rockland County, NY. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science at SUNY Cobleskill in upstate New York. Dr. Scher then went on to Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts. In 2017 Dr. Scher earned her DVM after completing her clinical year at Oklahoma State University. In addition to her DVM, Dr. Scher is training to be a certified veterinary acupuncturist from the Chi Institute.
