Dr. Hilary Scher is the newest members of the Chester Veterinary Clinic doctor team. Dr. Scher grew up in nearby Rockland County, NY. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science at SUNY Cobleskill in upstate New York. Dr. Scher then went on to Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts. In 2017 Dr. Scher earned her DVM after completing her clinical year at Oklahoma State University. In addition to her DVM, Dr. Scher is training to be a certified veterinary acupuncturist from the Chi Institute.
While Dr. Scher loves all aspects of veterinarian medicine she finds internal medicine, dentistry, shelter medicine and preventative care the most interesting.
When Dr. Scher is not working she loves spending time with her family, her boyfriend Aaron, 2 island “Kitts,” Pomegranate and Kitt, rescue dachshund blueberry, 2 mice, Açaí and Raspberry, and bearded dragon Frankie. When Dr. Scher is not at the hospital she can be found horseback riding, at the gym, swimming, reading and crafting. She also loves playing board games and hearing a good joke!
